Anuta Networks Provides F5 with Intent-based Network Services Delivery

Builds network applications using Anuta NCX orchestration platform to scale Silverline DDoS Protection

MILPITAS, CA – August 8th, 2017 — Anuta Networks, the leading provider of network services orchestration solutions, today announced that its award winning NCX intent-based orchestration platform has been deployed in F5 Networks Silverline to automate network services.

The Silverline DDoS Protection service keeps customer businesses online when under DDoS attack with a reduced risk of downtime and provides unparalleled visibility and cost efficiencies. To keep up with the global demand and to offer on-demand provisioning, F5 Networks considered network orchestration solutions.

“When we explored multiple orchestration solutions in the market, we evaluated based on breadth of multi-vendor coverage, scalability, support for open APIs, extensibility and multi-tenancy”, said Mike Lechner, Manager, Product Development for Silverline at F5 Networks. “Anuta’s YANG model-based NCX platform allows applications to describe intent to the network without worrying about underlying physical infrastructure. NCX enabled our DevOps teams to focus on the service workflow instead of learning complex CLIs.”

Anuta NCX is a model-driven orchestration platform that enables DevOps for networking. The solution is proven in large enterprises and service providers to accelerate network services, reduce OPEX and introduce consistency among heterogeneous infrastructure. NCX orchestrates L2-L7 physical and virtual appliances from more than 35 industry leading vendors and has a comprehensive REST API to integrate with multiple north bound ticketing systems and OSS/BSS.

“There is a clear shift in the networking industry from device centric view to service centric view. Anuta Networks is excited to lead this shift as part of the Silverline DDoS protection deployment at F5”, said Chandu Guntakala, President and CEO, Anuta Networks. “We’ve invested more than 4 years in building an extensible platform that scales to thousands of network devices and automates many deployments. We look forward to building exciting new functionality to NCX”.

“NCX is a highly extensible, pluggable and horizontally scalable platform that facilitates agile network service delivery.” said Praveen Vengalam, Co-Founder and VP of Engineering, Anuta Networks. “Network architects can declare business intent with service models, and the NCX will provide persistence, RBAC, Hierarchical Resource Pools, NACM, and auditing. NCX modeling constructs will ensure true telemetry between higher level network services and the deployed configuration on the infrastructure.”
