Server Lifecycle Management - ATOM SLM

Provisioning thousands of servers at multiple locations in this hyper-converged environment is easier said than done! To deliver the superior experience of Next-Gen technologies like 5G, AR/VR, IOT, and Edge computing, Service Providers must deal with multiple devices and servers from different vendors having different configurations and compliance policies. This makes the network error-prone inconsistent, non-scalable, and opaque.

The infrastructure to support 5G requires network functions to be deployed on bare metal servers. A single server requires as many as 30 steps to deploy, including PXE Boot, BIOS upgrade, firmware upgrade, VM installation, IP reservation resulting in a cumbersome and tedious process with error-prone management.

ATOM SLM (Server Lifecycle Management) is built with Workflow Automation. It automates all the steps involved in server deployment, including BIOS upgrade, VM installs, K8S install, and provisioning CNFs such as DU & CU. It simplifies the server on-boarding with Zero Touch Provisioning Orchestrator (ZTPO) while delivering a single dashboard to monitor the progress of thousands of servers in parallel.

By 2025, 5G networks are likely to cover one-third of the world’s population

Benefits of ATOM SLM

Decrease the Total Cost of Ownership

ATOM SLM eliminates manual handoffs and consolidates all workflows to a centralized dashboard – avoids errors, manages resources by pooling capacity, scales on-demand, and reduces the Opex.

Reduce Time to Market

Starting with automatic server discovery, ATOM SLM delivers end-to-end network and server lifecycle automation to accelerate the deployment of technologies such as 5G networks.

Optimize Resources

ATOM helps resource efficiency by pooling server capacity, minimizing downtime, and ensuring efficient placement of CNF and VNFs.

Simplify Architecture

ATOM SLM simplifies onboarding with a single console to upgrade and monitor the health of each server, create flexible reporting per site, city, region, and provide predictive analytics for quick and hassle-free troubleshooting.

What’s unique to ATOM SLM?

Multi-Vendor Compliance

ATOM supports seamless integration with the existing network with support for multiple vendors such as DELL, HPE, IBM, and Super Micro with options to deploy on-premises, public or hybrid clouds.

Massively Scalable Architecture

ATOM’s microservice architecture supports horizontal scale to automate thousands of servers using Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP).

Enhanced Experience

An intuitive builder simplifies the creation of custom workflows with a drag and drop interface to connect pre-built libraries in ATOM.

Real-Time Analytics

ATOM delivers AI-powered predictive analytics that estimate the completion of BPMN workflows to ensure SLA compliance. The anomaly detection in ATOM identifies workflow bottlenecks for proactive remediation with closed-loop automation.

FAQs

Anuta ATOM is 100% compatible with DELL and SuperMicro Servers. It also has the flexibility to expand the support to any new server with REDfish protocol.

Troubleshooting is simplified by ATOM with the addition of Pre-checks and Post-checks in the provisioning workflow to collect and display relevant data in real-time for quick action, along with powerful AI-based remediation suggestions in a single dashboard.  ATOM can also run connectivity tests such as PING and SSH to servers periodically to check their availability.

ATOM has many SNMP MIBS available to monitor CPU and memory stats along with Redfish telemetry support.

ATOM has successfully scale-tested deployment of 50 k servers in a month. With true ZTP and Workflow automation, ATOM can provision up to 1000 servers in an hour.

ATOM currently supports Redfish 2020.2, 2020.1, 2019.4 and 2019.3 features with regular new additions.
