Logicalis, Anuta Networks and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Create Software-Defined NFV-Ready Orchestration Platform PoC in Asia Pacific

Alliance Offers Industry’s First End-to-End Managed Network Service Delivery using IETF YANG Modeling Framework

MILPITAS, CA – March 21, 2016 – Anuta Networks and Logicalis today announced they are partnering with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) on a proof-of-concept (PoC), offering a complete managed end-to-end network orchestration solution to top telecommunication customers in Asia Pacific, enabling faster time to market for new and differentiated services.

The alliance builds on a powerful network service delivery platform that offers innovative functions for today’s software-defined network function virtualization (NFV) environments, delivering a highly scalable, open and extensible network orchestration platform for communications service providers (CSPs) in the region.

The solution combines HPE Helion OpenStack Carrier Grade with Anuta Networks NCX orchestration platform. Based on HPE Helion OpenStack 2.0, HPE Helion OpenStack Carrier Grade is a high-performance, high-availability cloud operating system enhanced to deliver optimized functionality, scale and performance to meet the needs of NFV cloud deployments by CSPs.

The Anuta Networks NCX orchestration platform integrates with many cloud portals such as OpenStack, and introduces self-service for network operations. Using an intuitive graphical designer, network administrators can define various levels of network services combining L2-L7 network functions. Network services are orchestrated on-demand and delivered within minutes using industry best practices.  The NCX solution works with both legacy, physical and upcoming virtual appliance- based solutions in a multi-tenant environment.

“Integrated NFV/SDN-based technology is the new paradigm that enables telecommunications service providers to be agile and innovative to stay competitive amidst the increasingly complex industry landscape,” said James Tay, Logicalis’ Chief Executive Officer for Asia. “Logicalis will leverage our experience and expertise in solutions integration in this strategic partnership with HPE and Anuta Networks. We will deliver a robust solution, built upon a tried-and-tested network service delivery platform, and which can continuously evolve to support our telecommunications customers’ exponentially growing and ever-changing business needs.”

“Anuta NCX offers lifecycle service orchestration with an unmatched rich YANG model-driven architecture, and securely supports many deployments including campus, DC, MPLS, WAN automation at production scale,” said Chandu Guntakala, CEO of Anuta Networks. “By working with HPE to become an OpenNFV application partner, and combining leading technologies, we’re enabling telecommunication providers to confidently deploy winning SDN/NFV-based networks today.”

“As the global telecommunications industry moves to the next stage of evolution, the coexistence of physical and virtual infrastructure can hinder service agility and slow time-to-market,” said Thomas Sennhauser, Chief Technology Officer, Enterprise Group, Asia Pacific and Japan, Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “Our PoC with Logicalis and Anuta Networks will address the industry need for end-to-end service orchestration and accelerate the delivery of services across hybrid, physical and virtual networks on a proven open orchestration platform.”
